How we keep your details safe
Your security while you are on our website matters to us, and we will never knowingly let our security measures be compromised.
Secure connection
crookandstaple.com is served over HTTPS throughout. When you pay, you will see https:// and a closed padlock in your browser's address bar. That confirms your browser is communicating securely with the right server, and that your shopping, payment details and personal information are encrypted in transit. The certificate is issued by DigiCert.
PCI DSS compliant payments
Payments are handled by Shopify, which is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant — the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. We never see or store your full card number.
Phishing
Phishing is when someone pretends to be a legitimate company to trick you into handing over personal information, usually by email or text.
We will never email you to ask for your card number, your bank details, or your password. We have no telephone line, so anyone ringing you claiming to be Crook and Staple is not us.
If you receive a message that looks like it is from us and asks for any of that, please do not reply to it and do not click any links in it. Forward it to sales@crookandstaple.com and we will confirm whether it came from us.
If you ever want to check that a message is genuine, start a fresh email to sales@crookandstaple.com rather than replying to the one you received.
Your privacy
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your details to third parties for their own marketing. Read our full Privacy Policy for what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
If you have any concerns, please get in touch by email.
