Chiarugi's Nickel Silver Oboe Straples are drawn from a full bar of nickel silver and then they are completely turned outside and inside using high precision machineries and automatized systems. This ensures excellent quality 'german silver' oboe staples which are always consistent. The 2/3 of the oboe staples are covered with high quality cork from Portugal. Each staple is finished and checked manually by highly experienced personnel.

60 yrs ago I began my reed making career…since then I have used the same staples…47 mm Loree nicklel silver tubes. At age 75, I thought I would replace some damaged staples with Chiarugi ones. Equal to if not better than my Loree tubes! my set up is Loree oboe CB37 & EH CG 39 (1969-70 Hans Moennig/ Phila) These staples are great!
