The reworked stand is now even more stable and robust. The stable metal support bracket holds the instrument securely and comfortably. The large soft felt instrument support protects the precious surface of the contrabassoon. The large rubber coated support cup provides a secure stand for the instrument. High quality materials and modern production techniques guarantee a long lasting and reliable stand. The stand can also fold down for ease of transport.

Arrived quickly, quiality is great

Good early sound

After a brief initial soak both reeds have sounded good but one was playing a bit flat to start. This now seems to be improving, but of course much of the fault could be with the player!

I am finding this reed suits me and is a good replacement for the Professional bassoon reed that seems no longer available

Disappointed with Product Quality and Customer Service

Upon arrival, the reeds were far too free-blowing, and one had a defective staple where the cork extended past the end of the staple. This raises concerns about whether any quality checks were carried out before shipping.
I contacted Crook and Staple through their online chat function but received no response. I then followed up via email, yet there has still been no reply. Given this experience, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them again.
