Set of 6 Chiarugi Interchangeable Silver Bassoon Mandrels

Product Description

A set of 6 silver aluminium bassoon reed mandrels to be used with the Chiarugi interchangeable bassoon mandrel handel. The metal mandrels slot into the top of the bassoon mandrel handle and are secured by a constricting screw system.

Being able to change the mandrels over means that you can leave the bassoon reeds to dry on the mandrels; if you had to take the reeds off, as with a normal bassoon madrel, it is possible to damage the base or tip of the reed when trying to remove it. Once the reed has dried it is easier to remove.

The mandrels can also be placed into the Chiarugi Reed Drying board for 18 mandrels to dry.
