The Bassoon Cleaning Kit includes everything you will need to keep your bassoon in a good condition. The products in this kit can be used with any bassoon and are essential to keep your instrument in good working order!

This cleaning kit includes the following:

Bassoon Wing & Boot Joint Swab

This swab has a weight at one end which should be dropped down the wing joint after playing to mop out any moisture that will have built up. The swab is made of a deluxe microfibre material which is especially absorbent to remove condensation or moisture that has built up.

Bassoon Cork Grease

A thin layer of cork grease should be applied to the cork at the end of each joint (the parts that join together) if the joints start to become stiff and you begin to find them hard to remove when putting the bassoon away.

Crook (or Bocal) Brush

Use this 'snake cord wired brush' once a week to keep the crook (or bocal) clean from dirt - if you haven't done this before, it might just make your bassoon much easier to play!!
